_Another_ product that use to be outstanding but now simply is poor & overpriced
I've used the Carhartt #B01 for many years now & getting a pair in 2023 after the US-based production is moved to Mexico they right out of the bag felt as being NOT what they used to be ! :(
Trying them on verifies they're not having that awesome feeling they used to.
It's not that a Mexican is less skilled than an American BUT having a tradition handed down over time simply just can't be moved to a new location and be just the same.
The fabric is not as nice, the colouring is different, various details & measurements are not the same AND the zipper is no longer »YKK« but a brand named »Ideal«. After a lifetime of being with various zippers I have NO doubt that it will break FAST - not to mention it stuck easy being fully opened ...
Carhartt now 'enlisted' in the long line of companies that simply got TO greedy ! :(
(if the price tag said; €60 I would still have returned them !)
